The fourth-graders launched their scientific thinking by learning about the scientific method through a paper rocket experiment. Students chose which independent variable they would change, designed their paper rockets, tested them, calculated the distance, learned how to calculate averages and created graphs to explain their data. They then drew conclusions based on whether their data supported their hypothesis. What a BLAST!
