Shane Calvert is director of operations for Darlington School Soccer Academy. He has been coaching for 13 years, most recently serving as assistant men's soccer coach at Wofford College.
“I found passion for soccer at a young age,” said Calvert. “I started playing when I was three and it's been a big part of my life ever since.”
Calvert holds a B.S. in Marketing from Tusculum College and holds the following NSCAA Diplomas: Advanced National, National, Goal Keeping National, and Goal Keeping Levels I and II.
“Darlington is a very special place,” Calvert said. “The first opportunity I had to spend time on campus I fell in love with it. I seriously called my wife and went on and on about how beautiful it was and how amazing the community is. We really look forward to fully emerging ourselves into the Darlington Community and all that makes this place so special! I hope I can someday make an imprint on someone's life the way Darlington has made for us.”
Calvert is married to Karen and has two daughters: Laura is 21 and attends the College of Charleston and Lilli is 13.
