Ten students travelled to Stone Mountain, Ga., for a traditional German meal and then rode the Skylift to the top of Stone Mountain for a very cold hour of exploration.
Since 1974, The Village Corner, German Restaurant & Bakery has been owned and operated by The Friese family, who moved to the United States from Munich and Hamburg, Germany. Originally began as a wholesale bakery with a small additional luncheon room, the popularity of Hilde’s extraordinary cooking and baking afforded the restaurant to grow where it is today. Carl, son of Claus and Hilde, is the executive chef.
