Fourth-graders have been studying the weather and completed an experiment using a homemade anemometer. The students have learned about weather vs. climate, air masses, fronts, and the different instruments that meteorologists use to predict the weather. We conducted this experiment by creating a hypothesis about what they believed would happen to the anemmemeter's rotation speed as we increased the fan's speed. We then recorded our data and students transferred their data into google sheets in order to produce a graph depicting their data.
