After reading C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," fifth-graders synthesized information from the novel and made creative projects. Students were able to choose between designing a game based on the characters and events in the novel, creating a diorama of an important scene, or writing several diary entries from the perspective of one of the main characters.
After presenting projects in class, students enjoyed playing one another's games. This was a great culminating activity that allowed students to review multiple aspects of this enchanting novel, while tapping into their creative abilities.
