In this episode, Chief Advancement Officer Julie Lucas ('97) chats with Britta (Stern) Graf ('94) about her "life-changing" experience as a one-year boarding exchange student at Darlington, her favorite memories and what she's doing now.
Julie Lucas ('97) joined Darlington's Advancement Office in 2007 and was named chief advancement officer in 2016. Previously, she has served as director of development, director of giving programs and campaign director for Darlington's Second Century Campaign. Julie holds a B.A. in Communication from Loyola University New Orleans.
Britta (Stern) Graf ('94) was a one-year exchange student from Germany. At Darlington, she played tennis, took piano lessons and sang in the choir. She was a member of the 1993 state champion girls' tennis team. After her year at Darlington, Britta finished high school in Germany and decided to go to medical school in Düsseldorf. She serves as a doctor of internal medicine in private practice. Britta lives in Germany with her husband and three children.
