Mu Alpha Theta, Darlington School's math honor society, inducted 30 outstanding math students in a ceremony held May 9.
Students were invited to join this honor society because they have taken both Geometry and Algebra II, are enrolled in a higher-level math class, and have at least a 95 overall average in all of their math courses at Darlington. The math department has worked the past few years to shift the focus of course averages to solely reflect mastery, so this is a huge achievement and we commend the effort of these students in and out of the classroom.
Inductees include Audrey Abbott, Ndiana Akpan, Jack Bell, Tom Bian, Mary Kate Bojo, Tommy Cowan, Grant Cross, David Edwards, Jennifer Hughes, J.R. Johnson, Kimberly Johnston, Daria Karamushkina, Lindsey Kelley, Orafiri Koko, Charlie May, Anthony Natarella, Linda Pan, Maya Pandya, Aiden Parsa, Karina Patel, Sinay Patel, Maddox Pyle, Alex Tran, Jake Trebus, Kathryn Wilson, Ariel Xu, Zhenhao Xue, Annie Yang, Eddie Ye, and Chloe Zhao.
