Darlington Soccer Academy boys recently played at the Indianapolis College Showcase, Nov. 7-9, 2014. The U19 and U17 teams hit the fields of Grand Park, just north of Indiana's capital city.
U19 boys defeated the Indiana Fire Jrs. White, 9-0, and the Dynamo FC 97 Red, 3-1, but fell to the Galaxy SC 97 Black, 1-0.
U17 boys won over the Indy Premier SC 98 Legend, 3-0, but lost to FC Revolution Elite, 3-2, and to Kentucky Fire Jrs. Classic Red, 4-0.
"This was another good showing from the players and performances that we can learn and improve from," said Kevin Ray, director of operations for the Darlington School Soccer Academy.
"This was a useful trip that allowed our teams to compete against teams from areas who play a different style of soccer," said Jamey Newsome, assistant director of the Soccer Academy. "I believe it was a good learning experience."
