7th Grade:  Will Crawford and Savannah Sands

Additionally, eighth-grade English teacher Michelle Major received both the Excellence in Teaching Award and the Significant Contribution to the Darlington Community Award during the ceremony. The first award is given to the teacher who has demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching by expecting and encouraging excellence in students. The second award is given to a teacher who excels in enthusiasm, participation and leadership to make Darlington School a better place to be.

Eighth-grade student awards will be given out during the Eighth Grade Final Assembly, which will be held Thursday, May 21, at 7 p.m. in the Middle School Courtyard.
