Darlington's Middle School Elite camp is designed for any middle school-aged athlete looking to improve his skills as well as compete at a high level. Elite Camp will focus on fundamental skill development through drill work and small-sided games, as well as 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 competition.
About the director
Nathan West has served as head boys' basketball coach and assistant athletic director since 2019. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Ala., and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. At the collegiate level, he played a year at Marion Military Institute before transferring and finishing his next three years at Birmingham Southern College. There, he was a co-captain and led his team to a conference championship in 2010. Coach West has coached at both the collegiate and high school levels as well as a short stint in Australia. While at Darlington, he has led the Tigers to back-to-back-to-back 7 Hills Rotary Club Christmas Tournament Championships, a Region Championship, and four straight trips to the State Tournament (3 sweet 16's and Elite 8).
