Darlington’s 1:1 technology program officially expanded to include the first and second grades at the beginning of the 2015-16 school year.
With access to a school-issued personal device for students in grades 1-12, our younger Tigers have added opportunities to complete more projects, express their creativity, and become more proficient with their use of technology.
Device distribution at Darlington:
Grades 1-3
Each student is issued an iPad to use in the classroom.
Grades 4-5
Each student is issued an iPad to use in the classroom and at home.
Grades 6-12
Each student is issued a MacBook Air to use at school and at home.
Parent education is an important part of Darlington’s technology integration program. The I.T. department will host a variety of parent forums throughout the school year, provide instructional videos, and write blogs with valuable information about our 1:1 initiative, which has enhanced the learning experience of our students since 2012.
