We believe the future has never been brighter. That the cure for cancer and the next Bob Dylan are laughing in our hallways.
We believe modern education has become a heavy stone sitting on the lid of humanity’s potential. Curiosity and service, not just biology or AP Language, are the secret to greatness and goodness and selflessness and the solution to every problem that keeps grown-ups awake at night. We must remove that stone.
We believe in more hands-on and less common core. In more yelling and making stuff, and less cramming and memorizing stuff.
We have the greatest responsibility, and as such, the greatest jobs on earth. For ours is to be the potters who shape the clay. To prepare the conductors who one day will lead the symphony.
We have the chance to change the world and reshape the future simply by being good stewards of the greatest natural resource humanity has, and ever will, see—the beautiful, brilliant minds of our students.
We are the teachers of Darlington because this is what we wholeheartedly and unashamedly believe.
