Darlington's motto is Wisdom More Than Knowledge, Service Beyond Self, Honor Above Everything. Faculty and staff members practiced Service Beyond Self by assisting the following organizations: Bagwell Food Pantry, Brighter Birthdays, Boys and Girls Club East, Boys and Girls Club West, Community Kitchen, Davies Shelter, Floyd Felines, Habitat for Humanty ReStore, Hospitality House Thrift Store, Open Door Home, Public Animal Welfare Services (P.A.W.S.), Restoration Rome, Ruth and Naomu House, Sara Hightower Regional Library, YMCA of Rome, and the YMCA Soccer Fields at Grizzard Park.
