The Ink Painting Exhibit featuring many Art 1 and 2 students is on display in the McCallie-Kennedy Library now through spring break. The artwork is the result of project based on the following guidelines given in coursework in the visual art classes earlier in the year.
Contours in art are the edges...of shapes and shadows and colors. Learning how to see and draw blind and modified contour drawings help the artist see and draw what is really there! They learn these techniques to draw by observation and used the contours in a photograph to create a high contrast ink painting.
