Fourth-graders learned about artists James Rizzi and Vincent Van Gogh while creating silly cities! Students were inspired by James Rizzi's pop art and Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. They practiced using a foreground and background in their composition, and using cool and warm colors. Students explored oil pastel resist and how to use markers to create an easy watercolor effect.
