My design thinking class recently completed a Shark Tank activity where groups had to develop a technological device that could be used to explore an extreme environment. The environments were the deep sea, space, the arctic, and the desert.
My group created a solar powered module that uses the latest technology to explore space and provide feedback in real time. After developing our invention and creating a prototype, we pitched our ideas to "sharks" and tried to convince them to invest in our products. Other inventions included a survival back pack with anything you could possibly need to explore the desert, a lion fish robot, and arctic robot dogs.
This was an exciting activity because we had the opportunity to work with our classmates to invent something new and make a prototype!
