The Jordan Jewels have been studying Mexico, its culture, people and food in social studies. To celebrate the conclusion of the unit, the class took part in several activities. To begin the day, Mr. Murdock's Intro. to Spanish class came to read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" in Spanish. Later in the morning, students used materials in class to make individual sized piñatas using toilet paper rolls, paper and string. Once they were finished, they chose a piece of candy to put inside. After lunch, students enjoyed a delicious homemade treat that Mrs. Jordan made in the classroom. Using angel food cake, cinnamon and sugar Mrs. Jordan made homemade churros. It was a fun way to celebrate the end of our unit.
