Transitions: Meet Your Darlington Advancement Team

The leaves are turning by the Lakeside, signaling a transition on campus. We love this time of year and hope you do, too.

We are excited to share some other transitions have also taken place in the Advancement Office at Darlington. Hannah Willerson ('19) joined us in June as advancement services officer and we have loved having her on our team. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from University of Georgia. Additionally, I have moved into a different role within the Advancement Office as campaign director, and Ella (Carpenter) Givens (’17) has joined us as director of annual giving.

Ella holds a B.A. in Marketing from The University of Alabama Honors College. She is a graduate of the Rome Floyd Chamber's Leadership Rome program and currently serves on Darlington’s Young Alumni Council. Most recently, she served as the marketing and community relations manager at River City Bank and received the Rome News-Tribune’s Best of Rome Award for her work as a marketing consultant. She is married to fellow alum Burch Givens ’17.

As an alum, Ella brings with her knowledge and love for Darlington, and is ready to ensure we succeed in our mission to empower students to learn with passion, act with integrity, and serve with respect. Whether you are a long-time donor or considering your first gift, your support of this community is an important part of ensuring the transformative experience provided at Darlington is the best it can be for our students, now and in the future.

Ella says, “It’s incredibly special to return to Darlington. I love everything about this place–our beautiful campus, cherished traditions, devoted teachers, and exceptional Darlington Community. My time here as a student was invaluable, and I’m excited to experience Darlington from a new perspective. The Darlington Fund is vital to ensuring that the mission of our school is upheld, and I hope to continue fostering a culture of giving here. Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends, Darlington School continues to thrive."

Please join us in welcoming Ella and Hannah back to the Lakeside. Thank you to those who have already supported us this year and if you haven't we hope you will consider making your gift to the 2024-2025 Darlington Fund today!
