Kick off the year and celebrate “Darlington Favorite Things” at the Purple Tie Tiger Tailgate on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Huffman Athletic Center.
It will be an incredible night full of school spirit, new and old friends, music, dinner, and a ton of priceless auction items! This year, we are excited to have a “Darlington Favorite Things” theme for our auction and focus on what makes Darlington the best, and that’s our people.
All proceeds will benefit Darlington’s parent organizations: Pre-K to 8 and Upper School Tiger PRIDE, the Fine Arts Booster Club, and the Athletic Booster Club.
Attend the Purple Tie Tiger Tailgate: Admission to The Purple Tie Affair is $85 per person, which includes dinner and an open bar. Patron tables can be purchased for $1,250, which includes reserved seating for eight, and special recognition. Just like in years past, there is also an opportunity to "Treat a Teacher" for the event. Attendance will be capped at 450. Click here to purchase tickets.
Donate or Purchase an Auction Item: This year’s theme of “Darlington Favorite Things” focuses on what makes Darlington the best and that’s our people. So, come prepared to bid on members of our community’s favorite things and consider donating one of your own.
Donate a “Darlington Favorite Things” Package: Our community donates great things to this auction each year and they can range from sought-after sports and event tickets to vacation homes, gift cards, exclusive golf outings, and more. Another option is to donate items off of the Amazon wishlist, this is super easy as items are delivered straight to the school. Erin’s package includes all of her favorite things for a lake day, just in time for Labor Day Weekend. Charles’ package includes his favorite essentials for a day in the great outdoors.
