Darlington welcomed the following new facuty and staff members in January:
Sara Alt is Pre-K to 8 music teacher. She holds a B.Mus. in Music Education (K-12) and a B.S. in Bible from Cairn University, and has more than 20 years of experience in music education, including general, choral, instrumental, and digital music. Most recently, she was department chair at Hebron Academy in Maine, where she also served on the residential life team. She lives on campus and serves as a member of the Summerbell House duty staff.
Ali McDurmott is the technology support specialist. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Berry College and has six years of help desk and customer service experience. At Berry, she worked in the I.T. Office, holding the roles of manager of user support and technical training, associate technician, and Apple-certified MacIntosh technician throughout her time as a student.
Ellie Sherrod is assistant director of boarding admission and assistant girls' coach for Darlington School Soccer Academy. She holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Berry College, where she was captain of the women's soccer team her junior and senior years. While in college, she served as front office assistant at Rome Orthopaedic Center, X4 group fitness coach at Rome Strength and Fitness, and strength and conditioning supervisor at Berry's Richards Weight Room.
