February is here which means it is time for our third annual Giving Day - a day of giving to support the 2022-2023 Darlington Fund! Gifts made on Giving Day directly impact the lives of our students and teachers and help ensure a great experience by the Lakeside for the rest of the year!
This year’s campaign will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and will be chaired by Kate Flory (’17).
"I’m so honored and excited to chair giving day this year, and that I get to follow in the steps of the past chairs giving back to school that gives so much to its current students and past and into our professional careers," said Flory.
Assisting her will be Will Crawford (’16), our young alumni chair for The Darlington Fund.
“Every year, alumni come together to support the Darlington Fund and encourage their classmates to do the same," said Crawford. "This Giving Day is no different - we want this day to foster healthy competition among classes and groups to raise money for Darlington.”
These legacy alumni were heavily involved as students and since graduating, both currently serving as members of the Darlington Young Alumni Council as they continue to demonstrate “Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!”
We consistently hear from our students, teachers, alumni, and friends that Darlington is about community and connections. As one teacher said, “Darlington means community, connections, and commitment.” Our community thrives when we are connected and our successes come directly from your loyalty and generosity.
We hope that you will think about your connections and what the Darlington Community means to you, and make a gift for Giving Day 2023. We are again asking anyone who has never made a gift to Darlington to consider making a gift of $19.05, an amount that honors the year we were founded. Last year’s campaign was supported by over 350 donors and we hope this year to have even more!
