The Huffman Center has been busy this summer, and it is great to see the dedication and commitment by so many of our student-athletes and coaches as they prepare for the seasons ahead.
One thing that has changed that I would like to share with you is that we are now a BSN Sports school, or as the students like to say we will now be wearing the Nike brand as we move forward. This will not be an immediate change for all sports across the board. We have time to transition.
We know that we have all experienced things in the past couple of years that we have not experienced before. Supply chain delays, transportation challenges, and other shortages have left some areas not as reliable as they had been. This was our reason to look at all of our options to find the best path forward to serve our student-athletes.
We feel that BSN will help with our immediate needs as well as the needs for the future. Our partnership will allow us to have a spirit store open 365 days with the ability to purchase spirit items that can be customized for a particular sport, and discounts and promotional offers that will benefit Darlington.
BSN is the leading marketer, manufacturer, and distributor of sporting goods. They serve over 150,000 schools and have over 3,000 employees and operate out of a 930k-square-foot warehouse. But most importantly, they want to help us, promise great service, and be proud to be a part of the Darlington Community.
