Kindergartener Lily Fine, first-grader Georgia Kines and eighth-grader Temira Bolds were named winners in the Office of Downtown Development (DDA)'s annual Downtown Art Contest.

Pre-K to 8 art teacher Jennifer Thoem chose eight pieces from each class to enter into the competition, and Fine, Kines, and Bolds were the three winners from Darlington as chosen by the DDA.

As winners, their art will be featured in Downtown Rome beginning next week and will remain through the annual Ellen Axson Wilson ArtWalk in May. This annual student art competition enhances the beauty and vibrancy of downtown Rome, as dozens of pieces are displayed.
