Thank you to Martha and Adam Karmali for making their first-ever gift to The Darlington Fund this year during our Parents for Purple campaign. We’re so appreciative that they’re supporting the school's top fundraising priority!
Dr. and Mrs. Karmali are parents to “three kiddos who love Darlington!” Their children are new students this year - Aria (’33), Micah (’32) and Isabella (’31). Originally from Texas, and now living in Euharlee, Ga., the Karmalis shared a little about their journey to Rome and Darlington:
"We moved to Rome for medical training back in 2017. We always knew what we wanted for our kids’ education and after deciding that we planned on making Rome home, we knew that Darlington aligned with our goals and values. We are so thankful and proud to be a part of this amazing community. We love that Darlington offers a variety of opportunities and experiences that will help shape our kids in their educational journey. We are big fans of the Darlington Basketball teams. As a new family navigating the COVID-era, we haven’t had a chance to be as connected as we’d like. We’re hoping that will change soon.
"It’s important for us to give to The Darlington Fund because education has always been an essential pillar to our family’s values," they continued. "We did not grow up with the same opportunities that our kids have and if we can help provide opportunity for even one child then we have stayed true to our hopes and dreams.”
Adam is an internal medicine physician at Advent Health Redmond as well the associate program director of the GME Internal Medicine Program at Redmond and chair of medicine at Redmond. Martha is the education, workforce and business services marketing manager at Future PLC.
