In this #SeniorSpotlight, get to know Lauren Houser, a two-year day student from Rome who loves performing with the Stadium Band at football games. 

When you think of high school, what song comes to mind?
“Seventeen” by Alessia Cara

What's your favorite show to binge on Netflix?
“Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia”

What house are you a member of?
Thornwood House

What are you involved in at Darlington?
I am involved in Stadium Band and Concert Band. 

If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
My favorite activity is playing at the football games because of the people I got to perform with.    

What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The band room because that is where I have made the best memories.

Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher at Darlington is Mr. Cox because of the way he teaches.

What's your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington would have to be the community.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Getting the chance to meet people from all over the world.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have learned to be more interactive.

Where do you want to go to college and what is your dream job?
I would like to attend Xavier University of Louisiana and my dream job would be an anesthesiologist.
