Congratulations to the 2020 3-5 Drama Club for their accomplishments this fall! Twenty six students have rehearsed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for ten weeks beginning in mid-September. This week the students had their final rehearsal and gathered to watch the finished product of a video production of “Phantom in the Music Room” by Janet Gardner. This show centers around the main characters trying to find out who or what is the shadowy figure playing the piano in the school music room after dark. Several students and Deputy Barney set out to solve this musical mystery with surprising results.
“Phantom Of The Music Room” features six songs with clever texts set to musical classics by Beethoven, Haydn, Chopin, Dvorák, Sousa, Grieg, and others. Mrs. Tunnell and Miss Walker enjoyed working with these students and loved the energy, creativity, and enthusiasm that this group brought to each rehearsal. Students rehearsed with masks and face shields and followed the school physical distancing guidelines. The same guidelines were used to record a video presentation of this musical.
