Spanish honor society inducts new members

Darlington School’s Spanish honor society has inducted new members. 

To be inducted into Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, students must have completed three semesters of Upper School Spanish; currently have an average of 90 or higher if enrolled in AP Spanish/Spanish III Honors/Spanish II Honors, or an average of 93 or higher if enrolled in Spanish IV/Spanish III /Spanish II the semester of selection; and have maintained an overall average of 90 or higher in all Spanish courses. Inductees are selected by a committee of language teachers based on their current teacher's evaluation and the student's current and future language experiences. Inductees included Carissa Brogdon, Alice Lamar, Ryan Kim, Kate Monroe, and Sharon Sun. 
 
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica also took a moment to honor current senior members: Caleb Baldwin, Leelee Barnes. Kasey Barnett, Lauren Botwinik, Abigail Burris, Trang Dang, Frances Fields, Gorden Gao, Veeka Malanchuk, Jalyn Massey, Hampton Watkins, and Dana Yassin.
