Senior Grace Watters has been named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for November.
A day student who has been enrolled at Darlington since pre-kindergarten, Watters has taken 19 Honors and AP courses during her high school career and was named an AP Scholar by The College Board. She is a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica and National Art Honor Society. She also plays varsity tennis and is a member of Darlington School Tennis Academy.
Watters is a graduate of the Rome Floyd Chamber's High School Leadership Rome program. She is interested in photojournalism and recently participated in Rome Area Council for the Arts' Align Design workshop for graphic design. She also interned for V3 Magazine last summer and has served as a volunteer photographer for Public Animal Welfare Services (P.A.W.S.) as well as the Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge.
The daughter of Allison and Ed Watters ('83) of Rome, Grace will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Nov. 11.
