Library Endowment Proceeds Support Students

Thanks to the proceeds generated from the David J. Brusco Endowment Fund, the McCallie-Kennedy Library was able to subscribe to two very important databases again this year; the Oxford English Dictionary and Lexis Nexis. OED is regarded as the accepted authority of the English language and provides our students with over 600,000 definitions and 3.5 million quotations. And Lexis Nexis is a “powerful, web-based research tool that delivers comprehensive news business and legal information from over 10,000 credible sources.”

The Bruscos' endowment honors the memory of David J. Brusco (’67) and is used to enhance the library’s collection through the purchase of books, periodicals and other materials with preference given to the subjects of history, political science and English literature.
