My Design Thinking class has been planning and organizing seven STEAM activities for the pre-K and kindergarten classes to complete. The Deaton Darlings and Smith Smarties are so adorable, and they were so excited about the centers we created for them. Two members of the Design Thinking class rotated through the centers with seven little tigers! The activities my class planned and implemented are:
1. Christmas tree building using green cups and Christmas cards
2. Creating candy cane ornaments using red and white fuzzy sticks and beads
3. Building holiday structures using Legos
4. Christmas Bingo and playing Jingle Bell Toss
5. Making trees using gumdrops, toothpicks, and green fuzzy sticks
6. Stringing geoboard trees and decorating green paper plate trees
7. Decorating gift bags and foam trees
I enjoy working with the younger students because they are always thrilled to see us and I feel good about giving back to the Darlington community.
