Student-athletes recognized at Fall Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in varsity cheerleading, crew, cross country, football, softball and volleyball were recognized at the Fall Sports Assembly on Monday, Dec. 4, in Morris Chapel.

In cheerleading:
Senior Caroline Cordell of Rome received the Most Valuable Person Award.

Sophomore Chloe Duck of Cave Spring received the Pillar Award.

Senior Jacqueline Cline of Rome received the Academic Award. 

In softball:
Senior Josi McKibben Rome received the Most Valuable Person Award.

Senior Alex Gardner of Nassau, Bahamas received the Pillar Award.

Junior Amelia Hoyt of Rome received the Academic Award. 

In cross country:
Sophomore Maggie Hawkins of Cedartown and junior Lawson Blake of Rome received the Most Valuable Person awards.

Seniors Samanda Cox of Rome and Pierce Monroe of Cedartown received the Pillar awards.

Senior Emily Edwards and junior Jack Eady, both of Rome, received the Academic awards. 

In crew:
Junior Marissa Joseph of Acworth received the Most Valuable Person Award.

Senior Stacy Chen of Rome received the Pillar Award and the Academic Award.

Junior Jollyoung Liu of Shanghai, China received the Most Valuable Person Award and Academic Award. 

Senior Oliver Wang of Tianjin, China received the Pillar Award.

In volleyball: 
Senior Callie Maffett of Rome received the Most Valuable Person Award and the Academic Award.

Senior Julia Holmes of Rome received the Pillar Award.

In football: 

Senior Tijai Whatley of Rome received the Most Valuable Person Award.

Senior Tigger Frix of Plainville received the Pillar Award.

Junior Rhett McDurmon of Rome received the Academic Award.
