Five members of the boys' varsity track and field team have earned Rome News-Tribune All-Area honors.
Avery Cypress ('14) f
inished as Class A Private School runner-up in the 800 and finished fifth at state in the 1600. He also competed in the 4x100 relay, which placed second in region and third in county, and the 4x400 relay, which placed third in state. He was named to the All-Area First Team.
Spencer Fields, a rising senior,
finished fifth in state in the 3200 meters and 11th in state in the 1600 meters. He was named to the All-Area First Team.
Ian Winder ('14) placed sixth in state in the 400 and was a member of the 4x400 relay team that finished third. He was named to the All-Area First Team.
Reeves Brown ('14) placed seventh in state in the long jump and was part of the 4x400 relay that finished third in state. He was named to All-Area First Team.

Chris Edwards ran a 3:26.13 and finish third in the Class A Private School Meet. They were named to the All-Area First Team.
Edwards was also named to the All-Area Second Team.
