A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.

Let’s get to know Timofe Anthony-Sawyerr, a two-year boarding student from Nigeria who enjoys photography.

When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Opportunity, innovation, kindness

“Total Drama”

Chick-fil-A

What are you involved in at Darlington?
Dorm leader, Black Student Union, theater, soccer, DECA, photography

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
My favorite coach is Coach Groves - even though I quit football, he taught me to be hardworking and tough.

If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
My favorite activity would be just taking pictures around campus. I find it therapeutic because the campus is beautiful.

What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The turf because of soccer.

Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is Mr. Evans because he really made learning AP GOV a fun experience; even though he may seem like the bad cop on campus, he’s a great teacher. Also Mr. Pender because he gave me an opportunity to try something new and discover a passion for myself which was awesome in my first year.

What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington is the amount of things people can get involved in - there’s something special for everyone.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
An experience is definitely winning RUMPUS - the amount of pride Summerbell has in our house can’t be replicated anywhere.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have learned to be a leader and how to organize people in synchronized dance.

What is your dream job?
